Following are the parameters of the Truck Driver position that is available at our company:

·         We seek a safety conscious, self-motivated worker who is willing to work hard and be reliable.  We are a 3 truck operation and it is imperative that all drivers report as scheduled.

·         Roll-off truck driver, singles and doubles.  Our terminal is near Jensen & 99 in Fresno.  Loads hauled will mostly be Asbestos waste.  Therefore, a hazardous materials endorsement is required.

§  We are currently experiencing a high volume of Non-Hazardous hauling.  For this opening a Hazardous Materials Endorsement is not required.  However, the hired driver will be required to pass his DMV tests for hazardous materials endorsement within 90 days of employment and submit for his Homeland Security background.

·         Work hours are expected to be between 40 and 60 hours per week.  However, 40 hours is not guaranteed as we are a construction related industry. 

§  Overtime pay is at 1.5 times the regular hourly wage.  After 12 hours in a day, double time is paid.

§  Working hours vary on a day-to-day basis depending upon the location of the first pickup of the day, distance to location, etc.

§  Occasionally, night and weekend work hours are required.

§  Our company performs Hazardous Materials Emergency Response site cleanups and these projects will sometimes require the use of roll-off trucks.  Some on-call work will be required.

·         The work is mostly local, hauling from jobsites in the valley and central coast.  Runs will occasionally be required to waste facilities in Nevada and Utah.  When overnight stays are required, PARC Environmental pays for the driver’s motel and $20 subsistence pay to help absorb the cost of meals on the road.

·         The truck that will be driven is in excellent operating condition and we want a driver who is motivated to keep it in good condition.

·         Starting pay will depend upon the amount of experience and references.

§  After 90 days of employment, paid holidays will include:

·         New Year’s Day

·         President’s Day (3rd Monday of February)

·         Memorial Day (the last Monday in May)

·         Fourth of July

·         Labor Day (the first Monday in September)

·         Thanksgiving Day (the 4th Thursday in November)

·         Christmas Day

§  Vacation pay is on the following schedule:

·         1 week after 1 year of employment.

·         2 weeks after 2 years of employment.

·         3 weeks after 10 years of employment.

·         4 weeks after 20 years of employment.

§  Full medical benefits are available after 90-days of employment.  This will include the spouse and children of the employee, with exceptions.

§  Dental coverage is available after 90-days of employment.  Coverage is $250/year for the employee plus an additional $250/year for the employee’s immediate family (spouse and children).

§  After 90-days of employment, Paid Sick Leave will consist of ½ day per month of employment with a maximum of 6 days per year.  Any unused Sick Leave will be paid in December.

§  After 1 year of employment, the employee is eligible to enroll in the company 401K plan with employer match.

Hazardous Materials Superintendent

 

Position: Hazardous Materials Field Supervisor

Job Description: Supervisory applicants should posses a strong working knowledge and have a minimum of four years experience in all aspects of Emergency Spill Response as it relates to petroleum products and hazardous chemicals. Must have experience in Industrial Services such as Tank Cleanings, Line Jetting, Demolition, UST & AST removals, Vacuum Truck Services as well as Hazardous & Non-Hazardous chemical knowledge. Requires strong communication skills, and related experience in a supervisory position dealing directly with clients and state officials. Basic computing skills including email, report generation, and Microsoft Excel® spreadsheets needed.  Due to the nature of the emergency response, employee is expected be have flexibility in work schedule including weekends and 24hr on call status. Overtime is a regular occurence averaging 10-20 hours per week at times.

Requirements: CDL Class "B" with HazMat endorsement at a minimum is mandatory. 40-Hour HazWOpER training per 49CFR 1910.120 and 8CCR 5193 is also required.  Willingness and ability to travel and the flexibility for long hours are essential to the position. Proof of all certifications and licenses is mandatory.

Position: Hazardous Materials Technician

Job Description: Working member of emergency response team for spills of oil, petroleum products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials, industrial work, vacuum truck operations, biohazardous clean-ups, etc. Daily work will include, but not be limited to; asbestos abatement, lead abatement, chemical lab packs, packaging hazardous & non-hazardous wastes for transport & disposal, site cleanups.  Due to the nature of the emergency response, employee is expected be have flexibility in work schedule including weekends and 24hr on call status. Overtime is a regular occurence averaging 10-20 hours per week at times.

Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel and the flexibility for long hours are essential to the position.  A valid CDL Class "B" , with HazMat endorsement at a minimum is preferred.  40-Hour HazWOpER training per 49CFR 1910.120 and 8CCR 5193 is also preferred.  Proof of all certifications and licenses is required.
